The Ammo Depot is the first level of Unit 2. It is a huge indoors storage facility, filled with hundreds of Strogg crates. It consists of a series of storage rooms, cramped corridors and cargo lifts, with enemies often hide behind the stacked crates, and several larger rooms that often contain some kind of machinery. A part of the facility has been damaged and flooded, probably due to TCM bombardment. The player's first objective here is to reach the Supply Station, in order to find 4 Power Cubes. Then, the cubes can be used to activate several critical Warehouse systems in order to proceed.
This level is the player's first encounter with Berserkers and Technicians (although Technicians will only be present on the harder difficulty settings), and the first opportunity to collect the Chain Gun.

The level starts in a large room. A Machine Gun Guard is encountered. Next there is a room with Shotgun Guards and Enforcers.

Secrets
- #1) In the first room, go straight ahead to the wall (where the door to the next room is to your right) and look to your left; there is a Shootable Button high up on the wall. Shooting it will open up a portion of wall on the small ledge, which contains a Quad Damage.
- #2) In the forcefield-blocked area that contains the button that controls the "battering ram" that smashes through the door to the next area, press the square button on the wall across from the button that moves the battering ram; this will open up the long metal strip on the floor just down the stairs, which contains an Enforcer, two boxes of Bullets, and Health.
- #3) When you get to the room with the metal walkway over a pit of lava, deal with the enemies, then cross the walkway and simply drop off either side of the platform it leads you to. Down here you will find Grenades and Health, but if you go down the pit here and take the elevator up, it will take you to the upper area of the room where the Light Guard was sniping at you, as well as the Chain Gun.
