It has been a lot of effort, but we have finally got the Aftershock Toolbox detailed out as much as the original Aftershock for Quake was. A continuation of the former, it included some new levels such as Welcome to BLAZE1 and Welcome to ABANWARE. Welcome to CROSFR01 is one of the only levels out there that does not run in any modern source port. Complete with a new Aftershock Toolbox Level Theme for the completely new levels, plus the original versions of certain levels such as No caption and Horizontal Door Example, means we got quite the plethora of content. We even got some dates that gives us some idea of a chronological order.
However, the big thing this time around is not really the new level pages, but the focus on actual QuakeC mod…Read more >
It has been a long road, taking quite a bit of time to accomplish, but we have managed to fully document and cover every single Aftershock for Quake level. Not only did this Add-on result in the addition of plenty of new little details like categories specifically dedicated to separating the different game modes, but we also added a few new Hazards such as the Glass of the test level GLASS.
With Gregory A. MacMartin making the Aftershock Level Theme, we are amassed in a whole range of textures which detail the various levels. Aftershock features a wider range than past Add-ons, meaning we have a lengthy campaign with its own Introduction and three Episodes. From the boat ride in E1M1: House of Desolution to the Leap of Faith in E1M4: Fire …Read more >
Hello and welcome to yet another year of Quaking. The Quake Wiki is bigger and better than ever, yet we have no intention to stop improving and expanding with new high-quality content!
One of the big changes you can expect this year is that we will (finally) improve that ETQW section of the Wiki - old Vorknkx has finally come around to playing it and has accumulated a lot of impressions and useful information. Expect to see it soon.
We also plan to get back to the exciting custom map series, which revealed to us a whole new dimension of abstract (and sometimes pretty weird) worlds, lost somewhere in the darkest corners of the great Quake multiverse.
We wish you a happy 2016 and many happy hours of Quake!Read more >
2015 has been quite the active year! Not even a month has passed and already we have a great new feature we would love to share with you today. Sound files, all uploaded in the .ogg format, have been included on the Wikia.
Every sound of Quake has been uploaded, as well as Dissolution of Eternity and Scourge of Armagon, by our dedicated member Le Rottweiler. These sounds are collectively placed in the Quake Sound Files category, with subfolders for both Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity. Furthermore, some of the sound files have been placed on pages such as Movable Wall or Shambler. Not only can you see Quake related content and watch videos, you can hear an isolated incident of every sound in the game!Read more >
Happy New Year to our community! Though a bit late, I do happen to have a holiday gift for you all! Dark Hour has become the second Add-on, Q2 being the first, to be officially completed (of course there is probably always room for improvement). That means new pages have been added to the wikia such as VALHALLA AWAITS, Abstractions, and Arena II. There are 23 level pages, all highly detailed with every Grunt and Rotfish recorded.
Also important is the creation of the Water Elevator page, which is one of our first pages covering some custom content (there are one or two stub pages from years past, but this is one to be part of a big project and the first custom Hazard to be added). Also, due to the semi-campaign of the levels (starting with …Read more >
Hello Quake fans! If you haven't been aware, we have been working on getting every level of the Q2 add-on detailed to the point of being a complete walkthrough on par with the original Quake walkthroughs! Today marks the completion of that project, where I can now say with confidence that we are the number #1 source for information on Q2. So, if you have no idea what I am talking about and assume that I am talking about Quake 2, go check out the Q2 page to see a rather obscure add-on created not long after Quake's release. We also have walkthoughs (video and textual) for all Single Player and Multiplayer levels. So, if you are curious how Exile and The Walls Have Eyes are different; or if you wish to compare that rather similar levels of E…Read more >
- Wikia has implemented part of "Project Darwin" with the fluid layout, which has changed the spacing and altered some of the CSS. This means pages must be checked for their compatibility under the new layout and resized if formatting errors exist. Please be patient as the problems are fixed and report any such alterations to one of the administrators - Raadec, Deathstalker666 or Vorknkx.
Couple of important new things in the last month!
- First, we have a new Administrator joining our crew - NinjaFatGuy.
- Second, the main page was finally fixed after 5 months of disarray.
Wikia has updated all our pages, mostly they are non-affected but the title page has been altered to show as one collumn. For the time being the news will be at the bottom of the page until we can find a way around this glitch (it seems to have affected a number of wikias), sorry for any inconveniences this causes.Read more >
