Close Quarters is a Single Player and Multiplayer level. This level is the first level made for QuMa, made with a 0.99 test release.

This level has a corrupt soundtrack directory as it searches for Track 1, which is a data track and therefore cannot be played.

In Deathmatch, it is intended for 5 players or less. There are no differences between the Single Player and Deathmatch versions of this map.

This level is notable for being one of the first custom "campaign levels". While Basic Castle was made earlier, a bug prevented the player from being able to complete it, making this the first level where the player could reach the exit.

Quick Level Completion

  • Proceed forward to the middle of the room, then turn left and head through the doorway.
  • Turn right, then cross the room to reach an intersection.
  • Turn left and go through the doorway, then turn right.
  • Cross the room to exit the level.

Kill the Rottweiler straight ahead, then proceed to the middle of the room. Turn left to kill the Grunt in the doorway, then ignore the doorway and instead turn right once more. Head underneath the platform straight ahead, then jump to your right to collect the Green Armor floating in the air. Head through the doorway you previously ignored, then turn right. Kill the Ogre in the room, then cross to the opposite side. There are three doorways in the room, going from the left to the right. Head through the doorway straight ahead to reach a courtyard, then turn right to kill the Grunt. Cross the courtyard, heading under the platform, to collect the Nails and Super Nailgun to your left.

Return to the three-way intersection, then turn left and head up the stairs. To the right is the top of the platform overlooking the start, this serves no purpose, so instead turn left. Head down the corridor, ignoring the staircase to your left, to reach the top of the platform overlooking the courtyard you were just in. Collect the 25 Health to your left, then return to the staircase you previously ignored and head up it. Turn left at the top to enter a room while killing a Knight. Collect the Rocket Launcher and Rockets from the lower left corner and the Shells from the upper right corner, then drop through the hole in the middle of the room to return to the three-way intersection. Turn right and head through the doorway, then turn right once more. Kill the 3 Grunts at the far side of the corridor. Cross the corridor, collecting the Double-Barrelled Shotgun to your left, before heading into the exit Teleporter straight ahead.
