Deathmatch 3 is a modification for Quake made by Avatar on July 30, 1996. This modification adds a third Deathmatch mode, Deathmatch 3, to the game.
Deathmatch 3 mixes the first two modes, having normal respawning Ammo and Health, but only permitting the players to pick up a Weapon once like in Deathmatch 2.
Furthermore, many of the Powerups have their respawn time extended. Things that would take 5 minutes such as the Pentagram of Protection now take 8 minutes, while the Quad Damage takes 40 seconds longer than previously required. Even Armor takes as long as a Quad Damage used to, an entire minute (meaning it takes three times as long as it previously did to respawn).
