GlobeId

A globe identifying a Fiend in E4M4: the Palace of Hate

IDGlobe is a modification for Quake made by Stan Smith on August 23, 1996. Similar to the earlier Globe modification, this features an impulse (impulse 15 in this case) being used to toggle a globe. This globe does not generate a light source, but instead identifies players and the current Weapon they are holding. This can also be used with Monsters.

The earlier modification, Globe, is commented out and can be combined easily with this one. Continuing from the earlier modification, IDGlobe has the same "Switch21" audio issue.

  • All Monsters beyond the bosses such as Chthon and Shub-Niggurath now are properly identified.
  • Syntax change. Previously Weapons would appear after a hyphen, now they are enclosed in semi-colons.
