Lobotomy Software (renamed Lobotomy Studios in 1998) was a video game company founded in 1993 and later closed in 1998. They are responsible for designing the SEGA Saturn version of Quake. They also developed the Sony PlayStation version of Quake, which was completed but never released since Lobotomy could not persuade anyone to publish it. According to programmer Ezra Dreisbach, the PlayStation version was essentially identical to the Saturn version except that it ran at a much higher frame rate.[1]
