Private First Class Polman is a character featured in Quake IV. He is a member of Eagle Squad in the Space Marine Corps and participates in the Second Invasion of Stroggos.

Second Invasion of Stroggos[]
Polman is seen in the Perimeter Defense Station next to a window with Private Wendt while Corporal Kane is escorting Tech Newberry. When Kane approaches, a Grunt punches the window of the room. Wendt quickly seals the window and Polman says they should inform the sarge about it.
When Kane returns to the room after disabling the defence grid and defeating the Gladiator, the scene has changed. There are two dead bodies on the floor, both with an insignia of Eagle Squad with a Grunt chomping on one of the bodies. The sealed window is now broken, suggesting the Grunt ended up breaching the seal at some point. It is therefore presumed Polman and Wendt got ambushed and were ultimately killed.
