The Quake Brush Generator was one of the earliest editors made for Quake, being released on July 6, 1996. It was made by Nicholas Dwarkanath (Niklata), who also is responsible for many of the early .MAP guides.
As one of the earliest editors, it was extremely basic in comparison to later editors, mostly just being able to design rectangular brushes and define a particular texture. This editor was made in Win32, which means that it required Windows 95 and can work with 64-bit Operating Systems.
Due to the overall basic design of the editor, it barely gained any traction and disappeared along with many other editors after July of 1996.
