Tempus Fugit is the first level of The Corridors of Time. It's the first of the ancient-themed levels, being in a Greco-Roman style. The level features an aqueduct, a Forum-like area, and a large temple, where the first of Quake's dreaded Guardians are encountered. This is the only level to feature Statues, which act exactly like a Knight or a Death Knight, yet ambush the player when they least expect it.
The phrase "Tempus fugit" is in Latin and it means "time flies."

Secrets

Above the Gold Door, there is a small corridor you can jump from across the building opposite. Shoot the left wall at the end of it to collect a Red Armor, Lava Nails and Multi Rockets. |

Before entering the room containing the Gold Key, you have to go through an underwater tunnel. Shoot the wall located on the right prior to the cylindrical section of the tunnel. It contains a 100 Health. |

After opening the Gold Door you find yourself at the entrance of the temple where the exit is located. Jump on top of the "quake" lantern in the middle of the stairway to be teleported on the ledges above, a 100 Health and two Cells are waiting for you. The ledges can also be reached by standing next to the immovable statues, facing the temple and rocket jumping. |
