Tech Sasaki is a character featured in Quake IV. He is a member of Kodiak Squad in the Space Marine Corps and participates in the Second Invasion of Stroggos.

Second Invasion of Stroggos[]
Sasaki is encountered in the Recomposition Center in a laser cage. When Sasaki notices another Marine, which turns out to be Corporal Kane, Sasaki starts yelling to let him out of the cage. Once freed, he says he's the last survivor from his squad and provides Kane with the Nail Seeker Mod for the Nailgun. When the two Marines make their way to the barrel controls, Sasaki notices they can stack barrels with the barrel process to exit the facility via an upper ledge and tells Kane he should activate it while he monitors Kane from within the control room. After having activated the barrel process, Sasaki informs him he should restart the sterilisation process to get the conveyor belt online again. While Kane makes his way towards the sterilisation controls, Sasaki starts becoming paranoid, thinking there are Strogg in his vicinity. After having restarted the sterilisation process, Kane makes his way back to Sasaki, but when he approaches the room, Sasaki tells him Sasaki's got company. When Kane enters the room again, Sasaki is being dragged by a Grunt all the way until behind a locked door. There, he is heard screaming alongside chomping noises and then goes silent, implying he was brutally killed.
Trivia[]
- It's odd how Sasaki does not join Kane on his way to the different control rooms. Sasaki is unarmed, meaning he would have no way to defend himself if any hostiles would enter his room. Kane also encounters plenty of Tactical Strogg along the way, which would have allowed Sasaki to pick up a weapon and join the fight. Instead he chose to stay behind in the control room and ended up being defenceless, which ultimately lead to his death.
