Slash appears in and is a playable character in Quake III Arena. She is an enemy warrior in Tier 3 in the game's singleplayer mode.

Biography[]

Manual biography

A young force-blade punk from the streets of Los Angeles, Slash became a test bed for the hottest cybronic implants, turning her into a barely-contained bundle of energy.

Profile

She is fast, nervous and deadly. Her slender frame is heavily cyborged. She moves around on force skates with glowing blades. She is very competitive and quickly displays her skills when challenged, showing you why she's earned the title of Dragon Blade.[1]

Prima Guide biography

Slash has almost limitless street cred, thanks to her years of blading for the L.A.-based branched of the Yakuza. When given a courier job, no one was faster, and no one was more capable of blasting her way through obstacles. Slash has enhanced herself liberally with cybronic implants and may now be more machine than human. Unlike the other combatants, Slash moves on force skates that keep her a few inches above the ground at all times. While the skates do make her a little taller, they also make her a lot faster and more agile.

The two things Slash craves more than anything are the BFG10k and the Quad, a combination that can give her a tremendous lead in any arena. Her comments to you belie the fact that Slash definitely knows what she is doing.

Strategy[]

Despite her tiny frame she loves big weapons, like the Rocket Launcher and the BFG10K. If you lose sight of that cybronic rat, she probably just headed to the BFG10K or Quad Damage room. If she can't find the Rocket Launcher or the BFG10K, she settles for the Shotgun.

At higher difficulties she will get lightning fast reflexes and become pretty accurate, which makes her deadlier than other bots with her obsession of acquiring the BFG before anyone can.

Trivia[]

  • Her other names in chat lines are; "Roller Girl", "Roller Queen", "Pipsqueakk", "Cutie Honey", and "Blade Lady".
  • She shares most traits and behaviors in her scripts with Pi in Quake III: Team Arena.
  • Crash's taunt sounds are supposed to be Slash's slowed down to half speed. However due to a small extraction bug of pak files, Crash uses the default Sarge sound.
  • Slash is also an accepted gladiator in Quake Champions.
