Steve Rescoe is a level designer from Wisconsin in the United States. He has also created the Doom II PWAD Skyewood as well as the graphic replacement Adolf.
Prior to his involvement in the gaming industry, Steve Rescoe primarily worked on shirt designs. He bought a computer primarily to color his own comic books, specifically the Laserhed series.
While primarily a graphic artist, Steve Rescoe made a name for himself by making a couple of the early notable Quake levels. Most of his levels were designed with the Quest editor, a relatively popular DOS editor used heavily in 1996.
Rescoe also was one of the main level designers for the id Software game, Doom 3. He also has ties to Daikatana by John Romero and Anachronox by Tom Hall.
