The Strogg Freighter is a heavy Strogg spaceship, which carries a load of supplies to the Strogg moon base. Joker has smuggled aboard inside a crate and is now loose in the ship.
The freighter features a cargo hold, an engine room, a detention block with several human captives in it, and a large bridge area. Joker would have to terminate the command crew by taking out the 2 Tanks, 2 Gunners and 1 Tank Commander, and then quickly stop the self-destruct sequence triggered by this act.
This level takes place in outer space and so the gravity is reduced, allowing the player to make higher and longer jumps, and fall from greater heights without taking damage.
This level marks the first appearances of the Beta Class Gladiator.

Secrets
- #1) At the very start of the level, right in front of you, is a stack of red crates. Jump on top of one and crouch down behind them to recover a Quad Damage power-up.
- #2) In the first computer room, directly behind the red-lit column, shoot the Strogg crest on the wall to find a suit of Body Armor.
- #3) In the security forcefield button's alcove (in front of the Blue key), there is a switch hidden in the ceiling. Shoot it, and you will be rewarded with the BFG10K and a pair of Cells.
