Tectronic stabilizer

The exposed computer core

The Strogg Tectonic Stabilizer is a Strogg device located in Ground Zero within the level of the same device, which is the heart of the Strogg Mines near just outside the city of Cerberon.

The Stabilizer's primary purpose will result in a dramatic rise in lava eruptions, earthquakes and other tectonic activities which the Strogg have worked hard to shut down, perhaps with a view to mining vital resources closer and closer to their world's mantle without disruption, Even it is lightly guarded and riddled with security devices, the tectonic core is supported by spinning and spiralling things, adjoined with two columned bars and a big blue crystal on it with automated and suspended above the cavernous areas.

To achieve the aim of destroying this important stabilizing device, you first have to find its Control Center to turn off the shields of its wall nodes, and then destroy all 16 of the wall nodes. Then, only one thing is needed to destroy the stabilizer - turning off its coolant supply. Once you do it (by turning off 3 auxiliary pumps), you must escape from this, After the stabilizer is destroyed, proceed to the elevator in the Lower Mines to get to the warehouse and the beginning of Unit 2.

During the War against the Strogg, Stepchild was able to infiltrate the mines and destroy the Strogg Tectonic Stabilizer, to escape from the facility by heading straight back to the Thaelite Mines (or perhaps to the secret level "Mine Engineering"). by turning off the 3 auxiliary pumps and self destruct within 90 seconds.
