TF 1.3: storm or storm is a Multiplayer level. This level is intended for use with Defense-style games, specifically with the 1.3 release of the TeamFortress modification.
Since this level is intended for TeamFortress, whereby all players spawn with the Weapons they need, there are no Weapons or Powerups in this level.
Defense
Team one in this map is the defending team. They are to protect the fort from invaders for ten minutes, whereupon the level will automatically end (even if a timelimit is not set). A large Button can be used to open the main Gates just beside it. These Doors provide the main protection from invaders, outside of the upper level walls which can be used to pick off opponents. Note that the Button is segmented in two halves, meaning the player should ideally hit it from the middle to open both sections of Door.
Team two is the attacking team; they spawn behind a hill on the opposite side of the level from the fortress, which in turn prevents players from being immediately spawn-killed. They are to break into the fortress, which can be done by pressing a pair of Buttons. One Button is on each side of the fortress, which in turn will open the main Gates for a short period of time. Once inside, team two players can begin working on their primary objective of getting through the inner Gates. This is done by pressing 6 Buttons found around the fort; one by the resupply station, one just in front of the lower floor ramp, one underneath the lower floor ramp, two on opposite ends of the top floor, and one on the middle floor under the ramp leading to the upper floor that is further away from the lower floor ramp.
Once all Buttons are pressed, the inner Door will slowly open, whereby any player on team two could rush into the corridor behind the doorway. Doing such will immediately result in team two getting an extra twenty frags, plus the level will instantly end, meaning it is absolutely mandatory for team one to prevent players from pressing the Buttons in the fort.
Each base also has a resupply point, which appears to be a floating Backpack, inside of a small building in the fortress. Each resupply point provides 20 Shells, 50 Nails, 20 Rockets, and 20 Cells. This also provides 30 Health and 30 Armor, plus 1 of the secondary grenade type. Note that the player will not exceed the maximum permitted amount of resources for their Class. After taking one of the resources, there is a ten second delay before the resupply point respawns its resources.
