TF 1.3: two forts or 2 forts is a Multiplayer level. This level is intended for use with Capture the Flag, specifically with the 1.3 release of the TeamFortress modification.
Since this level is intended for TeamFortress, whereby all players spawn with the Weapons they need, there are no Weapons or Powerups in this level.
Capture The Flag
Capture the Flag is relatively similar to Deathmatch. Teamplay is mandatory and cannot be turned off, meaning this level cannot be played in a standard Deathmatch Game Mode. While standard spawn locations exist in each corner of the level, they are intended only to view the level in Observer mode, both teams use specific spawn locations that place them inside of their base.
There are two teams in this level; One and Two. They are designated by words in the entryway of each base, plus a difference in coloration (One is blue, Two is brown) on the outer walls of the base. Each base is made up of several rooms. To the left of each entryway is a staircase leading to a level under the Water, this provides alternative entrances accessible by dropping off the central bridge. To the right of each entrance is a series of ramps leading into the main section of each base. An upper floor intersection of each room allows the player to overlook a round room in each basement. This basement is also accessible via a doorway in the main room on the same wall as the ramp room. Beside this basement doorway is another doorway that leads to a room overlooking the entryway of each base.
Players can get individual frags, but these do not count to the TEAM score and therefore are mostly useless. To increase the TEAM score, a player must reach the basement of each team to grab the opposing flag, which looks like an idBase Key. This room is just beside the round room of the basement, both of which are accessible via an intersection from the main room. If coming down the stairs from the main room, the Flag room is always to the left.
A player with a Flag must then return to their base and reach the middle battlement, whereby the TEAM score will be increased by two points. Note that the TEAM score can be shown at any time with the "showscores" Console Command; the game itself still bases fraglimit upon an individual player's kill count unless t_TeamFrags is set to on. A player that takes the Flag will glow, similar to how they glow with a Quad Damage. The middle battlement refers to the central window of the upper floor balcony, which is accessible via a doorway in the main room across from the one leading to the basement door.
Each base also has a resupply point, which appears to be a floating Backpack, in a small alcove of the main room. This is across from the doorway leading to the room overlooking each base. Each resupply point provides 20 Shells, 40 Nails, 10 Rockets, and 20 Cells. This also provides 30 Health and 30 Armor, plus 1 of the secondary grenade type. Note that the player will not exceed the maximum permitted amount of resources for their Class. After taking one of the resources, there is a six second delay before the resupply point respawns its resources.
